Meet the Founder

With over 20 years of experience running FINtastic Swim School Inc., Pamela Baldwin, has dedicated her career to empowering children with life-saving skills and confidence. Her swim program was thoughtfully designed to help children stay safe in the water and, if ever faced with danger, know how to help save their own lives.

Two decades later, that same passion for child safety, empowerment, and education has grown beyond the pool. Inspired by the devastating California fires of 2025 and the power of community, Pamela has created The Helpers Camp to further empower children with the knowledge, confidence, and decision-making skills they need in everyday life.

Through hands-on learning, real-life role models, and age-appropriate activities, The Helpers Camp teaches children how communities work, when and how to ask for help, and how their own actions can make a meaningful difference. At the heart of everything Pamela does is a belief that children are capable, resilient, and powerful, and that when given the right tools, they can become active, confident members of their own families and communities.
